If L4D2 had the same four Survivors, it wouldn't be a video game. It would just be an addon containing new maps. New maps on XBox Live would probably be downloadable for about 10 dollars roughly.
But put new faces on the character models, reuse some sound files from Team Fortress 2 (boink!) and you've got a 60-dollar game flying off the shelves faster than teenaged boy to a porn site!
